Here are the disappearing 9 patch blocks started for second one.
As summer is winding downI am able to return to blogland and my sewing. Still things to do  before school returns September 7.  I was starting to have a lot of sewing withdrawl however.

These are the 7 inch squares in the colors of the babies room. Chocolate browns and pinks. Joining rows at this time so will be posting finished top soon.

I have a baby quilt on the go which will be big enough to carry through to toddler size. I have another cut for myself  and am doing the disappearing 9 patch.

Using up scraps

Making quilt blocks from scrappy pieces. I am doing a 12 inch block these can be made in any size. Hopefully  early next week the top will be done and I will be able to post it so stay tuned.
This is an easy one especially for those that want to learn to quilt.

Does anyone have ideas for using up scraps besides the ones I have posted. Would love to hear about them.

Thrifting

Sewing patterns, pillow  forms, emboidery tranfers,
but note that bag.

Do dads, quilt patterns  even some farmy ones, doll fabric
Quilting patterns whoop ya

Note the bag what are the odds of finding a bag with your screen name or blogger name on it . I was just thrilled over this purchase. It was a grand thrifting day!  Then off to quilting store and scored some fabric there. Farmy ones are so hard to come by here or vintage looking as in the one with measuring tape on it. So I was very pleased with my day hope yours went as well as mine did.
